• November 3, 2016      The Living City Environmental Dinner on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at the Granite

                                          Club to honour Michael Tucker who has been named the recipient of the 2017 Charles Sauriol

                                          Environmental Leadership Award.

• October 16, 2016        GDA in collaboration with The Ontario Headwaters Institute lead a hike on the Michael Tucker

                                           Trail at 10:00 am on October 16, 2016.

• September 28, 2016   The East Duffins Headwaters Stewardship Committee hosted a community meeting on

                                           September 28 at Goodwood Community Hall from 7-9 pm. Alix Hopkins from Maine, and

                                           Aevar Adalsteinsson from Iceland spoke about their experiences and work in land conservation,

                                           trail development and community development. It was a great opportunity to find out more about

                                           the trails south of town, and learn about the different groups which work together to care for and

                                           use these lands – horseback riders, hikers, bikers and nature-lovers.
