In 2020 we installed a series of beautiful handmade benches throughout the East and West Duffins Headwaters properties. This project was organized by GDA member Rob Ferguson, who researched the best bench designs and coordinated the entire project. GDA member Ian Gillespie of Highwood Farm donated enough lumber to make 14 benches. Volunteers got together at a workshop to cut the wood and assembled kits for each bench. We polled GDA members, trail users and trail partners for their favourite locations. Teams carried the bench kits into each location and assembled them on-site. It was a great Pandemic distraction!
