In 2016, GDA commissioned Chrismar Mapping Services to develop a set of printed, waterproof trail maps for the area between Lakeridge Road and Brock Road, south of Reg. Rd. 21 and north of Durham Road #5. Uxbridge had claimed the title “Trail Capital of Canada” yet still didn’t have any overall maps of these trails.
The project was underwritten by GDA and supported by financial contributions from the Township of Uxbridge and 100 Men Who Care of Uxbridge. The maps have proven to be a big success and continue to be sold at local Uxbridge outlets businesses including Blue Heron Books, Boyd’s Cycle, Trail Hub and Slabtown Cider Co. When a map is sold by these vendors, the vendor gets a share of the proceeds along with Chrismar and GDA. You can also order maps online from Chrismar.com
